How to find out your most popular web page

Apr 10, 2017 | How-to-videos | 0 comments

Would you like to know which is your most popular web page or post in your website?

When you know which are your most visited blog posts you could decide to write more about the same topic or create a service around that topic.

Here’s a quick video where I show you how to find that out.

Firstly, you need to have Google Analytics Tracking Code installed on every page of your website. If you don’t then you need to do that first and then check this article in a month’s time to see the results as it can’t track data retrospectively.

You log into

Note that you need a free Google account to access Google Analytics.

Navigate to:

Then use the date selector to choose a date range

In my video I selected last month, but you can choose any date range by typing in the relevant from and to dates.

Next you’ll see a list of page URLs listed by the most visited.

The top page in my site is my home page – it is indicated in the list like ‘/’

If you click on the little icon to the right of the URL it’ll open up a small preview window.

In WordPress there is a plugin called Google Analytics Dashboard for WP and you can see this information from within the dashboard of your website.

Of course this all assumes you have Google Analytics Tracking Code on every page of your website.

Installing Google Analytics tracking code is something I teach in my Website Building Course and it’s something I do as standard to all website I create for my clients.
