Website Mistakes | Making Bland Statements

This video is about website mistake of using bland and meaningless statements.

I’ve put together this mini video series of website turn-offs to help you improve the experience that your website visitors have when they visit your website.

If your website is too difficult to navigate and potential clients can’t find the answers to their questions, then they click away.

These are website mistakes that may on the surface seem minor issues.

However they could be turning off your potential clients, and it’s stopping them from becoming your clients.

The website mistake I cover in this video and article is:

Website mistake #3: Making Bland Statements.

The mistake we cover in this video is making bland statements.

Bland statements are the type of statements that some companies think will set them above their competition, but in actual fact are expected from any company and could indeed apply to any company.

Statements like ‘we are the best in our industry’ or ‘we are award winning’ or ‘we ensure good customer service’.

These kinds of self-certifying statements don’t set you apart from your competitors.

In fact they’re just meaningless and don’t belong on the home page so take them off and use the space for something else more useful.

So now take a fresh look at your website and see if you’re guilty of making this website mistake of making bland and meaningless statements.

Let me know if that’s helpful.

In the meantime, look at the other 2 videos in this mini-series
